Default Announcing Windows Mobile Client pre-alpha!

**EDITED**

We just released a pre-alpha version of Plaxo for Windows Mobile Phones. The client syncs your contacts between Plaxo and both Windows Smartphones and PocketPCs, and has support for WM 2003, 5.0 and 6.0.

Check out the project page on http://labs.plaxo.com/labs/projects/windowsmobile/, and if you'd like to try it out, proceed to the downloads page at:

http://labs.plaxo.com/labs/projects/...bile/downloads

Please also send us an email with the following:

Name
Email
Mobile phone carrier/model
Version of Windows Mobile

E.g.
Hong Kwon
hong@plaxo.com
Verizon Motorola Q
Windows Mobile 5

Again, this is pre-alpha software so all the usual disclaimers apply - it might be a little unstable, etc.

Thanks for reading, and happy testing!
Hong

I emailed about testing and have not heard anything back; what is the turn around time?

I would have thought blackberry would have been a higher priority...

Thanks for working on this though. Mobile is where it's at.

After trying several ways to keep my computers and smartphone in sync, including several paid for google sync and yahoo programs.

Plaxo appears to be my best bet and this is the program I have been looking for.

I am using a Cingular/HTC 2125.

It installed flawlessly from the CAB file.

It doubled my contacts on the initial sync, but I am taking care of that now. I home the problem will be corrected after cleaning up the duplicates.

Are there any plans to have this work with the calendar as well?

Sorry to hear you got dupes! Can you send me an e-mail w/ your Plaxo username (e-mail address) - I'd like to check out your account and see if there is anything about it that might've triggered a bug.

I'm glad to hear the program works for you otherwise, though! And yes, calendar is in the works - expect an announcement here when it's ready to be tested.

Does this mean you guys may almost be ready to release public access to the SyncML service so others not using WM can use other SyncML clients?
