wow! okay I thought I was the only one!! LOL!!
I loved old plaxo then the new stuff they added. But darn the pulse does screw things up a bit for maintaining a solid addressbook. One of the things I find is that people sign up for a plaxo/pulse account but never go back and update things so what is the point??? I can't even send them an adressbook request b/c now they are members and we're automatically connected (but they never sign in and update) ARGHH!! I do see some advantages to the pulse and use alot of the features I just want more of the address book manager back!!!! |

At first I was thinking I would play devil's advocate and argue the merits of pulse, but then I took a stroll around and noticed all the changes that other customers have been complaining about.
We really do need a clearer line of separation between inviting to PULSE (social net) and inviting contacts to get their address books with Plaxo.com (traditional). |

Here! Here! Well said everyone.
Can anyone tell me HOW you update your contacts now? I've been through every bl**dy help page I can find, and they are all useless! I sometimes wonder if it's worth all the bother. Can any of you lovely people help a frustrated Scot? |

I think that we need to wait and then we will see what happened. I hope that plaxo will be on the good level soon

I HATE Pulse too.
Plaxo should be focused on the contact management feature. I cannot see any improvement after upgrade from plaxo online 2.0 to 3.0 I like plaxo 2.0 because the features is very useful, for example: 1. contacts printing 2. request contact update (although it may cause spam, I LOVE this feature) 3. easier mangement 4. load faster 5. more...... Be honest, plaxo online 3.0 is really bad product, especially in Pulse! VERY disturbing. |

I used to happily invite people to Plaxo. The last few invites I sent out resulted in a lot of confusion and questions - it turns out when I meant to send Plaxo invites, my colleagues saw PULSE invites. Very embarrassing. I am afraid to use Plaxo now.
Any word on when this will be fixed? |

Does anybody know how I can send distinct invites to Plaxo, i.e. for people to sign up and create a Plaxo addressbook and not a Pulse profile?

When you invite someone to Plaxo you can personalize the message - so if you want to promote the Smart Address Book feature as a reason to join the service, that's one way to tailor the invitation. -Drew |

I also agree. I want the core functionality to be syncing my data between different services/platforms. Focus on making my data "universal." Not sharing my Amazon wish list or Google Reader shared list with my friends and family

I agree with Terielamark here. Having the data sync would be much easier to work with. This would make our data much more universal like he states above.
