I really like this feature now that this thread has brought it to my attention, the only reason I did not use it previously is because I was not aware it was there. Its very useful in a situation like this: My dad signed up, and entered ONLY his first name, I edited my address book and added his last, however, without the accept/reject, Plaxo constantly updates his contact info by removing the last name. I'd like to keep the name (reject the change).

First thing is I believe that there should be a choice by the individual user.
I believe that because of plaxo's refusal to add things in the preference menu that would permit user selectable format's for telephone numbers {i.e. +1.234.567.9000 versus (234) 567-9000}, standardized addresses using the USPS and other countries' own govt run service formating of addresses, etc. there is a real need. I think if plaxo adopted and help set a standard in the industry, things would be much better. It is because people are "set in their ways" that some people need to "reformat" their data. Again, some people can spell correctly, while others do not care. The next motivating factor is plaxo's limited number of contacts that can be entered into a user account. I have many clients whose address books are huge (over 70,000). They want to utilize plaxo, so what they do is create multiple accounts and then manually have a huge address book which to me defeats plaxo's intent. I can remember in the not to distant past that plaxo accounts could handle about 65,000 contacts. I've heard all of the "excuses" why plaxo made this change, but to me, it defeats the entire purpose of have a one-top for all address needs. YES, keep this option on the preference menu for sure!

You said that most people do not use this feature. But how many do? If at least 5% are using it, you should keep it. It's always good to be able to accept/reject updates.
