Let me pick this one up again, because nothing happened after over 4 months.

Plaxo does not actually synchronize the pictures that you can set into Outlook 2003. Plaxo has its own photos, however these are only available for contacts who are Plaxo members and are the photos chosen by the Plaxo members.

The response to that question by (you) plaxomachead did not answer the question. It is not about the existing option in Plaxo to upload a picture for your own contact information which then gets shared with your plaxo contacts and synced with their client software (outlook etc.). That is fine, IF the plaxo member provides a picture.

It's about pictures that are maintained for contacts by software like outlook which are synced with Plaxo. It does not work the same way for pictures as it does for any other information (e.g. Cell Phone, Address, IM etc.).

If my contact has no image specified, but I updates the picture of a contact with a picture of my own, Plaxo should update the picture of the contact in my Plaxo address book as well.

If a picture is provided one day by one of my contacts, fine, do the same as if he adds any other information which he did not have provided before, but I had already updated in my address book earlier.

This is not a question about "how" to do it, but "if" you plan to implement it and "when", if you do and "please think about it" (recommendation), if you did not have it planned yet. Plaxo does not support it yet and its a something I miss (Raphael obviously too).

I am very happy with the service and are a premium subscriber. My address book has never been as clean as it has since I use Plaxo. I went through great length to get pictures for a large number of my contacts (because I am horrible with names, but good with faces) and found out after hours spent updating images in outlook, that it is not synchronized with my plaxo account.

Spending the time to write this little post was nothing in comparison, but I hope the request was made clear and understandable this time.
